Our transports
Svenska Fönster’s location in the country, in the middle of an area with the best raw material, is in many ways an advantage. But when it comes to transportation it is to a certain extent a limitation because all the materials and products need to be transported by truck, and buses or cars are needed to transport people.
Nevertheless, the impact on the environment from our transports can be reduced. We therefore measure systematically and standardised our emissions from transports, both those within the company and together with carriers that deliver materials and collect ready-made windows.
In the short term we have a target of reducing emissions from transports by 10 per cent from 2015 to 2018. But that’s not enough. Together with our carriers we are working towards further reducing our emissions of carbon dioxide in line with the environmental targets of the Ovanåker municipality and the region.
